Giorgio Gaviraghi received his Architecture degree from the Polytechnic University of Milan. He has since completed several graduate courses in management, marketing, and design at major universities.
He began his career as a Project Architect and later became a Project Manager, responsible for international projects for The Austin Company, an international design and construction company. He built a distinguished global career and has served as CEO of international companies operating in Europe, the United States, Latin America, and the Middle East in the fields of design and construction, aerospace facilities, real estate, and touristic resort development.
Throughout his career, he has been responsible for major initiatives, some valued at over US$5 billion. These include the design and project management for the reconstruction of thousands of buildings damaged by the Friuli earthquake; an aerospace facility for commercial aircraft final assembly for Aeritalia–Boeing; an aircraft overhaul facility for HAI in Greece; advanced testing facilities for the SDI initiative in the United States; high-rise buildings in New York; and several touristic resorts in Sardinia and the Red Sea region.
He has won international competitions in innovative products and systems for industrial design. Giorgio has specialized in space architecture, developing advanced projects and proposals for major space agencies. As a tutor for college and high school students, he has led teams that won over 18 prizes in international space settlement and space-related competitions.
He is a partner in the MAAT project consortium for a revolutionary airship-based air transportation system sponsored by the European Union. He is the founder of the Star Voyager organization, dedicated to advancing space development and interstellar travel.
He is also the Founder and CEO of EDL (Exponential Design Lab) in Latin America, specializing in advanced global projects. He is the author of over 80 papers on space, transportation, city planning, design, and related topics, as well as articles and books, including Global Challenges, published by Lambert Publishing.
He has delivered courses at universities in Europe and Latin America. He is currently a professor at UFMT in Brazil, where he teaches Exponential Creativity, a disruptive postgraduate course.
